What we’re about
As you may have read on one of the other pages, I am an advocate of progressive education or the Bank Street approach to preschool education.
I am a former preschool teacher and director and graduate of Bank Street College of Education.
Bank Street is one of the foremost, if not the foremost leader in progressive education in the United States using hands on activities for most of their learning.
Having been in the early childhood field for many years and a Bank Street Graduate, I spent years accumulating and creating many lesson plans, curriculum ideas and wonderful handouts that tie into concrete learning.
You can expect to find here all kinds of great ideas and thoughts on general preschool education, classroom setup, classroom discipline, ideas for math, science, reading and anything else that pertains to running a preschool, nursery, kindergarten or any early childhood classroom setting.
You can of course adapt lots of these ideas into a homeschooling environment.environment.
The posts will be categorized into topics that you can refer to again and again.
If you’d like you can subscribe to this blog through the RSS feed or through email. This way when I post new content you will be aware of it very quickly. and you will be sure never to miss a post. If not than you can bookmark this blog and make sure to check on it regularly as I will be trying to start up again and post often
I look forward to sharing with you the wonderful world of Progressive Early Childhood Education and Preschool curriculum.
The only thing you won’t find here is art ideas because that’s part of a separate blog where you can find all sorts of Educational Art Thoughts
If you have any ideas that you would like me to post about or anything that you would like to add please feel free to add comments to the posts.
